Spring Book Fair
The IMC Spring Book Fair will be open to students during the school day from March 16th - March 19th. We will be open for parents to stop in before the AVID parent night on Tuesday, March 16th from 5:30-7 pm, and the band concert on Thursday, March 18th from 6:00pm-7:30 pm. You can help support the DMS library and stock up on your Spring Break reading at the same time!
Summer Programming has the following available:
Registration has begun and ends for all middle school and first and second term high school students on March 24th. Hurry before the class fills up!! Please go to http://summer.d300.org/ for information on summer programming and registration paperwork.
Incoming Freshman Summer Enrichment Program(9th graders)
Elective courses are available to you this summer. Please go to D300 website under the parent tab for more information or see your middle school counselor. Summer Programming starts June 14th. Each session is $150. Monday through Thursday 8-1pm
AVID Middle School Students:
Foundations for AP Math is a new course offered to current 6th and 7th grade AVID students who wish to excel in mathematics and lead to high school Honors or Advanced Placement classes. There is a fee to this course of $115 and starts July 12th-July 29th from 8:30-11:30 am at Dundee Crown or Jacobs.
High School Credit Recovery and Enrichment:
Session 1: June 14th through July 6th Monday through Thursday 8-1:00pm
Session 2: July 7th through July 29th Monday through Thursday 8-1pm
Classes are available at Dundee Crown for east side residents and Jacobs for west side residents.
Registration is through March 24th. Term 3 or 4 failures have late registration through the end of May.
Transitional Summer Programming: (incoming freshman)
Each student who has been recognized in the building will receive an invitation and this program is free of charge. Limited space is available on a first come first serve basis. This program runs from July 12th through July 29th Monday through Thursday 8-1 pm.

SPRING PICTURE DAY
Students, our Spring Picture Day is scheduled on Friday, March 26th. If you are interested in taking spring pictures, please bring your picture form along with payment on the day of picture day, Friday, March 26th.
MIDNIGHT MILE CHALLENGE RUN
A reminder to all students interested in signing up for the Midnight Mile Challenge Run this year, the- registration form AND fee are due no later than Wednesday, March 17th at 4pm. If you have any questions please see one of the PE teachers.
QSP MAGAZINE FUNDRAISER
The DMS PA is asking students to pick up a magnet book on Monday during lunch and fill it in completely and return it on Tuesday during lunch. The magnet books are for addresses of family members and friends that may be able to support DMS by buying a magazine, book or music selection. There will be chances to win some cash and suckers will be given out. Please help the PA raise funds for DMS.

ALLEGIANCE COLOR GUARD - A NEW YOUTH ACTIVITY FOR BOYS & GIRLS
Attention DMS Students - Would you like to try a fun activity that combines sports and the arts together? Then come join Allegiance Color Guard, a new youth activity open to girls and boys throughout the Dundee area. As a member, you'll learn how to dance, spin flags, and toss wooden rifles high in the air to exciting music! Then, you'll have fun performing the routines at parades and compete with other color guards in the area! For more information, please come with your parents to our Open House Night in the IMC at Dundee Middle School on Wednesday, March 24th from 6:30PM-7:30PM!
JACOBS HIGH SCHOOL CHEERLEADING TRYOUT INFORMATION
Attention any 8th grader interested in trying out for Jacobs cheerleading - you can pick up the informational packet in the main office. Please make sure you have a current physical on file and you must get cleared through Jacobs athletics before you tryout. The 1st day of tryouts is Monday, March 22 at 4:45pm. If you have questions please call Jacobs athletics.
ALGONQUIN ARGONAUTS YOUTH FOOTBALL & CHEERLEADING REGISTRATION
The Algonquin Argonauts Youth Football & Cheerleading registration is open to all boys and girls ages 5 - 16. Walk-In Registration dates for 2010 are as follows: March 20th, April 24th and May 22nd from 11am - 4pm at Players Choice Academy, Lake in the Hills. On-line registration is also available. For more details, please pick up a flyer in the main office.
